SUPERFIGHTS! SUPERFIGHTS! It was the only thing anyone could talk about last year. Was it a real possibility that if Anderson Silva beat Chris Weidman, we would've seen a Silva vs Jon Jones superfight this summer? Maybe if he beat Gustafson more convincingly, that would've been possible, but wait! Gustafson's not even getting a rematch! Jones is fighting some other guy! So what do we do now?
Now that Anderson's leg is in two pieces, and Jones has some real competition lined up at LHW, what superfight is there left to be made?
I say let's get the french candian jean claude van damme, Georges St. Pierre out of retirement! Get him in the ring with Silva for his return fight! Neither of them are champions, and neither of them have anything to lose! Let's do it!
Then what's next for Bones Jones? After he's done with Glover, and Cain Velasquez is done rehabbing, let's get those two in the cage together and see who wins. Cain's destruction of Junior Dos Santos absolutely scares the living crap out of me, and I'm convinced that there's no one that can touch him in either LHW or HW. Cain is absolutely horrifying to watch, and I would love for him to match up with Jones.
Anderson Silva vs Georges St. Pierre and Jon Jones vs Cain Velasquez in 2014!
