Here is another Who Should Fight Who.

Saffiedine should fight Ellenberger - Reason: This was a great fight. Tarec Saffiedine dominated 90% of this fight and pretty much coasted for the last 10 minutes. He had many chances to finish it, Lim was pretty much fighting on one leg for the majority of this fight but instead of finishing it Saffiedine would either take him down or dance around him. It was a great performance nonetheless, his striking was on point all night, his leg kicks were deadly once again and he really just looked sharp until that last 10 seconds where he almost got finished. I hope he starts finishing guys soon, if he does then this guy could be a star. I'd like to see him face Jake Ellenberger next. I think this fight will happen, they were supposed to fight each other at UFC Fight Night 34 but Jake pulled out due to injury. I think it would be a very exciting fight and I'd love to see it. Saffiedine could also fight Martin Kampmann or Matt Brown.

Lim should fight Koscheck - Reason: Hyun Gyu Lim has incredible heart. This guy was basically fighting on one leg for 10+ minutes and he almost won the damn fight right at the end. He got beat up pretty badly but hes definitely gained a ton respect and fans with a performance like that. Lim's huge for this weight class, there were reports that he was 200lbs+ going into that fight. Hes also very athletic and he is one of the hardest punchers in the division. I believe he'll be fighting the best in the world on a regular basis very soon. I'd like to see him face Josh Koscheck next. I like this fight a lot. Its a step down in my opinion for Lim but it would still be a very big fight for him. This would also be a step down for Koscheck but I think its a winnable fight for him. This could either be the fight that saves Koscheck's career or the one that ends it. I hope this fight happens. Lim could also fight Mike Pierce or Nate Marquardt.

Tatsuya-kawajiri-sean-soriano-ufc-fight-night-34_medium

Kawajiri should fight McGregor - Reason: This was Tatsuya Kawajiri's UFC debut and it was a great debut. Early in the fight he couldn't get Soriano down and I was concerned that he was going to lose but he kept going after Soriano and eventually got him down. When he got Soriano down it was all Kawajiri, he dominated on the ground. He was bashing Soriano with punches and then he choked him out cold. It was a great performance and I'm very happy to finally see him in the UFC. I don't know whether or not he'll ever fight for the belt but I think he can get close. I'd like to see him face Conor McGregor next. I like this fight a lot. Its a big fight for McGregor, its a fight against a Top 15-20 guy with a big name. Kawajiri is a star. This would also be a great fight for Kawajiri, he'd be fighting a guy with a name as well and I'm sure this fight could be the Main event of a Fox Sports or Fight Pass card. Also I think it'd be a great fight. Kawajiri could also fight Tom Niinimaki or Dennis Siver.

Soriano should fight Chope - Reason: Sean Soriano fought one of the most experienced guys in the division and I thought he looked decent. He looked good early but once Kawajiri got him down he had nothing for him. Soriano's stock is up in my book though. I think he'll be successful in the UFC and I'm excited to see him fight again. I'd like to see him face Will Chope next. They both fought and lost on the card, I have them ranked in the same area and I think its an interesting fight stylistically. I think it'd be a fun fight. Soriano could also fight Manny Gamburyan or Marcus Brimage.

Kunimoto should fight Cabral - Reason: This fight ended quickly. We didn't really get to see much of either guy. Kunimoto had Dutra up against the fence and was working for a takedown, Dutra started throwing 12/6 elbows which were landing directed to the back of Kunimoto's dome. Kunimoto dropped to the mat, clearly hurt and Dutra was disqualified. It was a good call. I'm looking forward to seeing what Kunimoto can do in his next fight. When Kinumoto is able to compete again I'd like to see him face Yan Cabral. I like this fight, it makes sense to me ranking wise and I always like grappler vs grappler fights. Kunimoto could also fight Zak Cummings or Sean Pierson.

Dutra should fight Wall - Reason: Luiz Dutra is a total piece of garbage. He hits his opponent in the back of his head with 5 12/6 elbows, his opponent goes down and can't continue. The fights called and Dutra is DQ'd. Not once does he show any sympathy for his opponent, didn't give a damn about Kunimoto. He protests the stoppage and then cries because he lost. Then later on he says that Kunimoto was playing it up and acting. What a turd this guy is. I never want to see this guy fight again, I'd like to see him get cut but that probably won't happen. If he gets another fight in the UFC I'd like to see him face Ben Wall. This fight makes sense to me ranking wise and stylistically. I'm sure the UFC wants to give Dutra a favorable match up because of his Brazilian and TUF Brazil fans so I think this is a great fight in that sense. Its a very winnable fight for him in my opinion. Dutra could also fight Benny Alloway or Bobby Voelker.

Kang should fight Wee - Reason: Kyung Ho Kang looked awesome. He was kicking the absolute crap out of his opponent in that first round. He hit Shimizu with one 12/6 elbow, one. The ref stops the fight, checks on Shimizu and then takes TWO POINTS away from Kang, TWO. Never gave Kang a warning or anything just takes two points away from him. I hate Steve Percival and it seems most people feel the same. I hope hes fired very soon. This moron then lets Sean Soriano get choked out cold in the Co Main, Soriano tapped but Percival didn't see it. He needs to be canned, hes going to cost people wins, money and their lives. Alright back to Kang. So now basically Kang needs to finish the fight, I had that first round 10-8 Kang before the elbow but after the Two point deduction and with the 10 point must scoring system Kang ended up losing that round 10-8. Theoretically Kang could have still won a decision even with the two point deduction but with the low amount of 10-8s given by the judges his best bet was try to finish the fight. Luckily for Kang he got it done, finished the fight and didn't get screwed out of a win. It was a great performance, he looked awesome and I'm really looking forward to his next fight. I'd like to see him fight Royston Wee next. This fight makes sense to me ranking wise but the reason I love this fight and want to see it happen is because I think Kang would kick the crap out of Wee and I really would like to see that. Wee was involved in one of the worst fights I've ever seen in the Octagon earlier on the card. He lied on top of his opponent for basically the entire fight. It was absolute garbage and I want him to pay for it. Smash him up Kang. Kang could also fight Dustin Kimuraor Russell Doane.

Shimizu should fight Galera - Reason: Shunichi Shimizu did not look good in that fight. He got his ass whooped. However I think he'll get another fight in the UFC and I'd like to see him face Dave Galera next. Both guys lost on the same card and I think this fight will happen. Shimizu could also fight Norifumi Yamamoto or Edwin Figueroa.

20140103092532_mh_vs_wc_2_jpg_medium

Holloway should fight The Winner of Sicilia vs Miller - Reason: Max Holloway looked amazing. I had a feeling he was going to light Chope up and I even tweeted Max that he would finish the fight in the second round via strikes. I also predicted that it would be by body shots, thats not how he finished the fight but he did land a good amount of brutal body shots. It was a thing of beauty and I loved every minute of it. Hes a great striker and hes still very young. The sky is the limit for this Hawaiian monster. I'd like to see Holloway fight The Winner of Sam Sicilia vs Cole Miller. This fight makes a ton of sense to me. I like this fight stylistically, it makes sense ranking wise and I think it'd be an awesome fight. Holloway could also fight Tom Niinimaki or The Winner of Maximo Blanco vs Felipe Arantes.

Chope should fight Soriano - Reason: Will Chope got picked apart but I like him. I think he'll have success in the Octagon. Hes a massive Featherweight, hes very young and hes got a lot of tools. This was a tough match up for him, Holloway's very talented and he has faced some of the best in the world. I'm excited to see Chope's next fight. I'd like to see him face Sean Soriano next. This fight makes a lot of sense to me, they both lost on the same card. The fight makes sense ranking wise and I think it'd be a good scrap. Chope could also fight Milton Vieira or Manny Gamburyan.

Katsunori-kikuno-quinn-mulhern_medium

Kikuno should fight Medeiros - Reason: I'm pretty sure I saw Kikuno fight a few times when he was in DREAM but I don't remember his awesome stance. I love his crazy stance and I'm now a big fan of his. He looked good in this fight, Mulhern kept shooting in on Kikuno but he couldn't get Kikuno on his back. Kikuno would just defend and wind up in Mulhern's guard. Thats basically how this fight went. Kikuno spent most of the fight on top of Mulhern. We didn't get to see much of Kikuno's striking and thats what I want to see. I want to see him fight some guys who wll stand and bang with him. I'd like to see him face Yancy Medeiros next. Medeiros will stand and bang with Kikuno. This fight makes sense Stylistically and ranking wise and I think it would be a fantastic fight. Kikuno could also fight KJ Noons or Sam Stout.

Mulhern has retired. Quinn Mulhern has retired. He said he doesn't believe he can be successful at this level and he has retired. I like when guys retire on their own and aren't forced into retirement. I was shocked by this only because Mulhern is pretty young to retire but if you don't think you can hang with the top guys in the world you should probably retire.

17443466_jpg_medium

Wee should fight Kang - Reason: What a snorefest this was. One of the worst fights I've ever seen and this was probably one of the worst winning UFC debuts ever. He lied on top of Galera for the entire fight. It was ridiculous. I'd love to see Wee cut but thats not happening. Since hes sticking around I'd like to see him face Kyung Ho Kang next. This fight makes sense ranking wise but I want to see it because I want to see Wee get his face bashed in. I really hope this fight happens. Wee could also fight Dustin Kimura or Russell Doane.

1_medium_medium

Galera should fight Shimizu - Reason: Galera didn't look terrible in my opinion. All his opponent did was ride him for three rounds. Galera was pretty active off his back but he didn't really go for any submissions and that disappointed me. Hes supposed to be a great grappler but he showed none of it in this fight. I'd like to see Galera fight Shunichi Shimizu next. Both guys lost on the same card and I can see this fight happening. Galera could also fight Leandro Issa or Jon Delos Reyes.

Mairbek-taisumov-tae-hyun-bang_medium

Taisumov should fight Parke - Reason: Mairbek Taisumov looked very good. He dominated this fight, I was looking for a little more from him, Taisumov had a lot of hype going into this fight and I think that played a part in his performance. He looked a bit tentative at times but it was an impressive performance nonetheless. I'd like to see Taisumov face Norman Parke next. This is a big step up in competition for Taisumov but I think he can handle it. I think it would be an excellent fight. Taisumov could also fight Tony Ferguson or Anthony Njokuani.

3_medium_medium

Bang should fight Salas - Reason: Tae Hyun Bang didn't look great. He was dominated but I think he'll get another fight in the UFC. I'd like to see him face Justin Salas next. This fight makes sense me ranking wise. Bang could also fight Jon Tuck or Fabricio Camoes.

20140103091401_jdlr_vs_dk_jpg_medium

Kimura should fight Holdsworth - Reason: Dustin Kimura looked great. His grappling is very fun to watch. He went for a number of submissions off his back before finally getting the armbar and winning the fight. It was a very impressive performance. I'd like to see him face Chris Holdsworth next. I like this fight a lot. I think it'd be a phenomenal fight. It makes sense to me both stylistically and ranking wise. I hope this fight happens. Kimura could also fight Kyung Ho Kang or Royston Wee.

3_medium_medium

Reyes should fight Delorme - Reason: Jon Delos Reyes looked good early, he landed some nice shots on Kimura and even dropped him but soon after the fight hit the mat he was submitted. I expect to see him again in the UFC, it was a decent enough performance to get him another fight in the Octagon in my opinion. I'd like to see him face Roland Delorme next. This fight makes a lot of sense to me ranking wise and I'd like to see Reyes fight another good grappler. See if Reyes can make the improvements he needs to if he wants to remain in the UFC for a long time. Reyes could also fight Dave Galera or Leandro Issa.

20140103091957_li_vs_rd_jpg_medium

1_medium_medium

Doane should fight Phan - Reason: Russell Doane looked fantastic. He was in trouble in the first round and had to fight off a triangle for over a minute. Then he ends up choking Issa out cold with his own triangle in the second round. It was a great performance and I'm really looking forward to his next fight. I'd like to see Doane face Nam Phan next. I know Phan is coming off a loss but he looked good in his last fight and this fight makes a lot of sense to me ranking wise and stylistically. I hope that fight happens. Doane could also fight Kyung Ho Kang or Royston Wee.

2_medium_medium

Issa should fight Bedford - Reason: Issa looked alright. He didn't look terrible but he didn't look good either. It was an okay performance and I expect to see him again in the UFC. I'd like to see him face Johny Bedford next. I like this fight. I makes sense to me ranking wise and I think it'd be a great fight. Issa could also fight Dave Galera or Jon Delos Reyes.
