Scott Jorgensen desperately needs a win, and he will try to get it in hostile territory.
Multiple sources close to the situation revealed to MMAFighting.com that Jorgensen will return to the Octagon in a flyweight bout with Jussier Formiga at the yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event in Natal, Brazil, on March 23. MMA Informativo first reported the news.
Former WEC and UFC title challenger, Jorgensen (14-8), recently dropped to the 125-pound division after racking up a 10-6 record under the Zuffa banner as a bantamweight. He suffered a unanimous decision loss to former Bellator champion Zach Makovsky in his flyweight debut.
Formiga (15-3), a former Shooto South American flyweight champion, entered the UFC as one of the best 125-pounders in the world, but he's 1-2 inside the Octagon so far. Born and raised in Natal, the Kimura Nova Uniao fighter will try to get back to the win column following a first-round knockout loss to Joseph Benavidez.
