Herb Dean, Keith Peterson set to officiate UFC 169 title fights

Officiating assignments are set for UFC 169 at Newark's Prudential Center.

Herb Dean will referee the bantamweight title main event between champion Renan Barao and challenger Urijah Faber on Feb. 1; Keith Peterson gets the nod for the Jose Aldo vs. Ricardo Lamas featherweight title fight.

Ricardo Almeida, Cardo Urso, and Eric Colon will serve as judges for both title fights.

Nick Lembo, counsel for the New Jersey Athletic Control Board, released the assignments over the weekend.

As for the rest of the main card, Dan Miragliotta will handle both Alistair Overeem vs. Frank Mir and Abel Trujillo vs. Jamie Varner, while Peterson gets the nod for Ali Bagautinov vs. John Lineker.
