Ali Bagautinov and Marcos Vinicius, combined, only wen the distance three times over 37 fights heading into their flyweight showdown at UFC Fight Night.
And for awhile Wednesday in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, it looked like they were going the full 15 minutes.

Then, with less than two minutes left in the final round, Bagautinov tagged Vinicius right a nasty right hand on the button. A few strikes later, it was all over. Bagautinov's UFC debut was successful as he scored the TKO win at 3:28 of the final round.
The Moscow native almost got the fight done in the bout's opening moments, as he tagged Vinicius (20-5-1) with another huge right, swarmed him with several more rights, and then nearly put him out with a choke. But Vinicius not only survived the onslaught, but rallied and got a guillotine of his own before the round was out.
Bagautinov re-asserted control in round two, though, and appeared well on his way to a decision victory when he unleashed his finishing flurry.
Bagautinov (11-2) recorded his second straight win, while dropped his second fight in a row.
