To anyone using the word "robbery"...

Take a step back for a moment and think about how you are chipping away at the usefulness of that word by tossing it around so easily, making it less meaningful all the times a fight is legitimately a robbery.

Stop being so incredulous and indignant. This is the sort of fight that could have gone either way and seem like the right call. Consider, when reading around the discussion threads tonight (and blogs, if you're into that), that most people seem to agree (i.e. on both sides) that Gus clearly won R1 and Jones clearly won R4 and R5. The very fact that R2 and R3 are at least slightly up in the air is enough to make the word "robbery" (or any general I'm-shocked attitude) outright silly. Even all the talk that a 49-46 is the worst crime ever committed is a little bit odd (though I do disagree with it), given a case could be made that Jones won both R2 and R3. For example, I had it 1/2 Gus, 3/4/5 Jones, but I've seen a lot of people saying 1/3 Gus, 2/4/5 Jones.

This is typical immediately-right-after-event knee-jerk reactionism. This fight was not a robbery, by any stretch of the imagination. Put your pitchforks away.
