UFC added another fight to its stacked event in Houston.
Charles Oliveira, who recently lost to Frankie Edgar at UFC 162’s fight of the night, meets featherweight's Estevan Payan on Oct. 19, UFC officials confirmed Thursday. The Houston Chronicle first reported the story.
Payan looks to get his first win inside the UFC after dropping a unanimous decision loss to Jeremy Stephens in his Octagon debut. Oliveira also desperately needs a win after two consecutive losses to Edgar and Cub Swanson.
Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will headline the card at the Toyota Center as he takes on former champion Junior dos Santos for the third time. Former Strikeforce heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier fights The Ultimate Fighter season 10 winner Roy Nelson in the co-main event.
