You never really know how a man's career is going to progress in MMA, but wanted to forecast how the next five fights of Jon Jones
I think since Jones will be out for quite some time with his broken toe, Alexander Gustafsson
and Lyoto Machida
will fight for the number one contendership. After that the winner will take on Jones. So whether it is Machida or Gustafsson, I anticipate Jones winning that fight.
After that I feel a superfight is in order, and should Anderson Silva
prevail against Chris Weidman
in July, was the odds dictate he will, then a superfight between Jones and Silva will be set up. The size and wrestling skill will allow Jones to win that battle.
From there, there will be no point in Jones staying any longer at 205; he will already be the greatest 205er of all time, so it's time to move up to heavyweight. His first fight there will be a grudge match against Daniel Cormier. Cormier is a tough, scrappy, and talented fighter, but Jones length and skills will earn him the nod in heavyweight debut.
From there Jones will be able to fight for the title against Cain Velasquez
, which will be an incredible fight. But still see Jones taking that battle to win the heavyweight title in early 2015. From there, Jones will defend the title against Junior Dos Santos, and be considered the greatest fighter of all time.
Might seem far-fetched to some people, but based on his talent, smarts, team, work ethic, studious nature, and ability to think really big and aim to be the greatest of all time, it might not be as crazy as some people think.
