Round 1: Tate immediately grabs double underhooks and scores a body lock takedown. Zingano reverses and they stand, but Tate holds a head lock and now is pressing Zingano into the fence looking for a trip. Zingano tries a high elbow guillotine, but Miesha escapes, scores with a right hand and takes Zingano to the floor again. After a minute on top, Tate scores again but not before Zingano lands a hard knee and a right hand. Tate again on top with a double leg. Hard elbows on top from Tate.

Round 2: Tate catches a leg and scores a single leg dump next to the cage. Tate postures up and scores heavy punches. Zingano circles around and Tate attempts an armbar. She can't get it, but sits up and moves to mount. Now sidecontrol, high. Tate tries to take the back and ends up on bottom, but Tate rolls for a heel hook. Zingano sits through and is now working form Tate's half guard. Zingano lands hard shots from on top as Tate tries to control her from underneath. Tate stands and goes for a takedown, but is stuffed at the end. Close round.

Round 3: Zingano hits a low single and is now working from Tate's full guard. Tate tries to hit a deep half guard sweep and manages to go square with Zingano as they both go base down. Now Zingano rolls Tate over and works from side control. Tate tries to chase a single and eats a knee and drops again. Tate tries to stand again and eats another knee and that's it. The referee stops it.
