This is the WSOF 2 live blog for Josh Burkman vs. Aaron Simpson, a welterweight bout at Saturday night's WSOF 2 event at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City.

Burkman, who has won three straight fights, will face Simpson, who has won four of his past six fights, on the main card.

Round 1: Dan Miragliotta is our referee for this welterweight bout. Burkman loads up on a looping right hook. Simpson ducks under a shot and powers Burkman against the cage. Burkman connects with a series of knees inside the clinch then reverses position. Burkman separates to the center of the cage. Simpson slips a pair of high kicks and clinches. Burman fights it off. Burkman catches Simpson lunging in with a hard straight right, briefly dropping Simpson to a knee. Simpson regains his wits, but Burkman smells blood and storms forward, catching Simpson with another right. Burman pouring it on now, looking to capitalize. Simpson eats a right then gets absolutely floored by a knee to the jaw. Wow. This one is over.
