Chat wrap: UFC 158 preview, GSP vs. Diaz rivalry discussion and more

Esther Lin, MMA Fighting

UFC 158 is just days away now and as if everything with Nick Diaz, past always seems to be prologue. After turning in what I thought what a candid and sincere effort on the UFC 158 Countdown show as well as the media conference call, somehow the Stockton native managed to miss yesterday's pre-fight media day.

Was it unprofessional? Was it just Diaz being Diaz? Does it all really matter? Depending on who you ask, you'll get a variety of responses.

Not to be lost in the shuffle is the welterweight sweepstakes on the co-main event and feature bout of the evening. The top of the division could see a major re-alignment on Saturday and not simply because of what happens with the UFC welterweight title.

There's a lot going on, so join me today to discuss all of this and more. In terms of today's chat, anything is up for discussion, but I will lead with this and it all kicks off at 2 p.m. ET, directly after the UFC 158 press conference.

As is customary, I'll post the video window here as the event draws near and I'll answer any questions you may have if you post them in the comments section below. Be sure to click 'rec' on those comments or questions you believe merit attention.

Talk with you all at 2 p.m. ET.
