I don't know how long this is going to last, but to say UFC and MMA more generally are on a hot streak is to understate the facts.

UFC 156 delivered in the most incredible of ways, giving fans both the predictable they wanted and the unpredictable they never thought would happen. It also has seemingly set up another 'superfight' between UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and lightweight standout Anthony Pettis. And as we saw, the ratings for the prelims on Saturday literally set a record for UFC content on FX.

But it's not just UFC that's making important moves. Spike and Bellator announced the blueprint for their upcoming fighter reality series, 'Fight Master', which includes the participation of everyone UFC President Dana White basically hates. Intentional or not, it raises the profile of the entire effort.
