With what went down this past weekend, I'd be very surprised if we don't see Nick Diaz's name on a UFC fight card in the near future. As an older brother myself, there is no way I would sit back and watch my little bro tearing it up while I stare @ my lava lamp collection at 4 in the morning.
Unless he has some grave impairment that's keeping him out of the ring, his ridiculous pride that has stopped him from scrapping 'new young fighters' does not count, he's on his way back. If they put him up against Jonathan Brookins, I'm pretty sure he'd drag his ghetto ass to one or two pressers. And while he may think he's got nothing to prove, we all know that's crap. He has yet to conquer any top UFC talent (No, Penn did not count).
And what the hell else is he going to do? Become a Walmart greeter? Finish his Doctorate in Philosophy? I think there's a better chance of seeing Floyd box Pacquaio. What Dana needs to do, well he doesn't need to (Dana and Lorenzo need Diaz about as much as they need a Super-Heavyweight division) is find someone who will bang with him. Someone without much of a ground game...Ellenberger? Rory? and give him a decent cheque, because in all honesty, Diaz is a draw. It's how he got his title shot.
I'd watch it, don't really like the guy all that much, but he always seems to bring it.
