Round 1: Yves Lavigne is the referee. Diaz is southpaw while Maynard is orthodox. Leaping right hook from Maynard whiffs. Single leg for Maynard and he briefly attempts a head and arm triangle, but can't get it. Diaz scores double underhooks and stands, even scores a harai goshi, but Maynard rolls through on top. They stand and separate. Maynard whiffs on a single and eats a right hand. He's in huge trouble and Diaz is scoring all kinds of shots. Maynard is somehow hanging on, but the referee has no choice but to stop the fight.
