Jake Ellenberger reveals hamstring injury forced him out of UFC Fight Night 34

Esther Lin

A hamstring injury is what forced Jake Ellenberger out of his UFC Fight Night matchup with Tarec Saffiedine.

One day after Ellenberger had to pull out of the Jan. 4 bout in Singapore, Ellenberger told FOXSports.com the reason for the first fight pullout of his 36-fight career.

"Yeah, it's been a rough week. It was a hamstring injury, just one of those things," Ellenberger told FOXSports.com.

Fortunately for Ellenberger, the injury doesn't appear serious, he expects it to keep him on the sidelines for 4-6 weeks.

Hyun Gyu Lim has taken Ellenberger's main event spot against Saffiedine on Jan. 4.
