This is the UFC 167 undercard live blog for the UFC 167 event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
There will be seven fights on the UFC 167 undercard. Donald Cerrone vs. Evan Dunham, Ed Herman vs. Thales Leites, Brian Ebersole vs. Rick Story, Erik Perez vs. Edwin Figueroa, Jason High vs. Anthony Lapsley, Will Campuzano vs. Sergio Pettis, and Gian Villante vs. Cody Donovan will be featured on the prelims.

Gian Villante vs. Cody Donovan
Round 1: Here we go, folks. Kim Winslow is tonight's first referee. Let's start this night off right. Villante clinches and unloads a few short uppercuts. Hard leg kick from Villante. Donovan wades inside and connects with a flurry. Villante paws out his jab. Donovan cracks Villante with a high kick. Villante closes the distance against the fence and takes a moment to clear the cobwebs from his head. Back to the center of the Octagon. Leg kick from Villante. Donovan dodges a high kick, then headhunts with his right. Villante catches a kick and muscles Donovan to the mat, landing in half guard. Donovan regains his guard. Villante lets him up. Donovan tags Villante with a flurry. Donovan opening up with strikes. Good way to end the round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Donovan.
Round 2: Villante wades forward with his jab. Donovan fires back then clinches against the fence. Villante lands a short shot off the break. Donovan unloads a head kick, but right before it lands rockets off a looping right. Huge shot! Donovan crumbles backward and Villante pounces with strikes. Wow, wild finish.

Will Campuzano vs. Sergio Pettis
Round 1: Herb Dean is our referee. Pettis' older brother, Anthony, in lil bro's corner. Pettis circles left, then tosses out a one-two. Campuzano shoots and secures a double leg. Pettis on bottom, working for a guillotine. Campuzano wriggles out and stands. Pettis with a body kick. Campuzano changes level again and plants Pettis on the mat. Pettis throws up his legs for a choke, then works to his feet. Big knee by Pettis on the way up, followed by a hard body kick. Campuzano returns the favor then defends a trip. Pettis cracks Campuzano with a low kick. Campuzano looks like his left leg might be hurt. Pettis unloads on it with low kicks. Pettis stalks forward and launches into a flying knee. Campuzano catches it and slams Pettis to the canvas. Campuzano stands then dives back inside Pettis' guard. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Pettis.
Round 2: Pettis goes right back to Campuzano's left leg. Campuzano fires back. Pettis shakes off a takedown attempt. Campuzano wades inside with a flurry, followed by a switch kick to the body. Pettis changes levels and powers Campuzano to the mat. Campuzano with butterfly guard, nearly works to his feet but Pettis lunges on a d'arce. Campuzano spins out, and after a wild scramble, winds up in top position. Pettis with a short elbow from the bottom. Pettis throws up a choke attempt, but Campuzano defends and takes Pettis' back. Pettis stands then reverses and settles inside Campuzano's guard. Campuzano pushes Pettis off and stands. Campuzano shoots and eats a huge knee! He's staggered. Pettis stays patient from the outside. Round 3: Pettis opens with an immediate leg kick. Campuzano fires back a one-two. Pettis goes to the body. Campuzano whiffs on a knee. Campuzano lunges inside Pettis seizes a front headlock. Pettis considers going for the power guillotine, but Campuzano squirms out. Campuzano gets a quick takedown, landing in half guard. Campuzano looks to pass but instead Pettis regains his guard. Campuzano content to just rest in Pettis' guard. Pettis throws up his legs for a triangle. Campuzano postures up and bucks him off, moving into half guard. Pettis finds some space and tries to stand, but Campuzano catches him and drags him back down. Campuzano stands. One minute left and we're on our feet. Campuzano misses a high kick, then shoots inside. Pettis sprawls and takes Campuzano's back. Campuzano stands and breaks free. Campuzano pours it on. Jason High vs. Anthony Lapsley
Round 1: Mario Yamasaki is our referee. Lapsley charges inside with a flurry but High changes levels and secures a takedown, landing in half guard. High climbs into mount. Wow, he's got a ton of time to work. Lapsley gives up his back. High sinks in both hooks. Lapsley scoots to the fence and uses it to stand. High shoots right back in and dumps Lapsley. High slithers in a guillotine and rolls for it. Lapsley defends. High swirls to Lapsley's back then hoists him up and slams him down. High hunting for another rear-naked. High switches to mount and Lapsley quickly gives up his back. High still with both hooks in. High gives up position to seize a guillotine. Lapsley defends, but High rolls and sinks it in tighter. High transitions into mount, still with the choke. Lapsley survives, but dang, dominant round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 High.
Round 2: High closes the distance against the fence. Lapsley grabs a leg but High shakes him off and lunges into mount. Lapsley gives up his back. Round one all over again. High transitions into a guillotine but this time Lapsley sees it coming and gains top position. Lapsley working short shots from inside High's guard. Hard right hand by Lapsley. High tries to scramble out but Lapsley is stifling. Lapsley advances into half guard. Yamasaki wants action. Lapsley doing enough to stay busy. Good elbow from Lapsley. Round 3: Lapsley connects on a front kick, right hand combo. High paws out his right. High storms inside and changes levels for a takedown, landing inside Lapsley's guard. High shucks Lapsley's legs up and advances into side control. High swirls and grabs a front headlock. High unloads a few knees to the body, then seizes another guillotine attempt. This one might be tight. Lapsley pries off High's hand and sweeps. High rolls for an omoplata but can't get it. Lapsley rains down a few punches from top position. High nearly stands then takes top position in a scramble. Lapsley climbs to his feet. High dives on a leglock, but Lapsley defends and unloads a few punches. Lapsley gets HIgh's back but slips and High claims top position. Great grappling on display here. High ends the round with punches from the top. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 High. (29-28 High.)

Erik Perez vs. Edwin Figueroa
Round 1: Kim Winslow is our referee. Both men trade straight punches early. Perez fires off a pair of high kicks. Figueroa wades inside with a flurry. Whoa, massive groin shot downs Figueroa. Huge groan from the audience. "Sweet baby jeams-mus," says Joe Rogan. Figueroa, understandably, taking some time. We're back. Figueroa pushes forward and whiffs on a big overhand right. Perez goes low, then changes levels for a double. Perez muscles Figueroa against the fence, still working for the takedown. Figueroa stands and throws Perez off. Big counter front kick lifts Figueroa off his feet. Wow. Figueroa back to stalking. Low kick from Perez. Figueroa eats a right. Figueroa cracks Perez with a hard kick to the body, but winds up on his back for his troubles. Perez advances into half guard. Perez trying to pass into mount. Figueroa bucks him off and stands, only to be dragged back to the mat. Perez again working from half guard, rains down a few short punches. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Perez.
Round 2: Figueroa eats a front kick. Perez wades inside and drills Figueroa with a right to the body followed by a huge left that cracks Figueroa's jaw. Figueroa topples down but regains his wits quickly. Perez peppers Figueroa from the outside, then closes the distance, hoists Figueroa above his head, and slams him onto the canvas, landing in side control. Figueroa gives up his back. Perez in total control right now. Figueroa trying to stand against the fence. Big knee to the body from Perez. Figueroa eats an elbow off the break, but then storms forward and connects with a heavy straight right. There's another right hand by Figueroa, and Perez decides to drag this fight back to the mat. Perez working inside Figueroa's closed guard. Wow, 57 ground strikes for Perez to Figueroa's 1. Perez advances into half guard. Wait, what? Winslow stands them up. Okay, that was bad. And just as I write that, Perez whiffs on a spinning heel kick. Perek changes levels for the double and gets it, landing in half guard. Perez whaling on Figueroa's midsection with rights. Perez advances into side control. Perez moves into north/south, but Figueroa explodes to his feet. Perez with the quick takedown against the fence. Round 1: Herb Dean is our referee. The hairrow is out in full force! Story stalks forward and blasts Ebersole with a one-two. Story peppering shots from the outside. Ebersole with a standing hammerfist to the thigh. Okay. Ebersole lunges forward but Story throws him off. Story cracks Ebersole with a looping shot. Story whiffs on a left. Puzzling fight from Ebersole so far. Ebersole drops down for a single but can't get it. Story connects on a body shot. Story just misses a front kick. Ebersole lunges forward with another fireball-esque motion. That's the third or fourth time he's done that. Good inside leg kick by Story. Ebersole responds with an outside leg kick. Story cracks Ebersole with a flurry. Story storms forward and misses a combo at the horn. Weird round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Story.
Round 2: Ebersole circles right and paws out his jab. Story closes the distance and winds up on top in side control after a scramble. Ebersole explodes to his feet. Story headhunting with looping punches. Ebersole circles to the center of the cage. Story tags Ebersole with a straight shot. Ebersole finds a home for his jab, then eats a counter right. Ebersole connects on a step-in elbow. Story fires back and Ebersole just shakes his head. Story cracks Ebersole with a looping left that puts him on the defensive. Story goes over the top with another left. Ebersole seizes a single and pushes Story against the fence. Ebersole abandons the single and gets reveresed. Round 3: That last exchange opened up a big cut above Story's right eye. Story closes the distance and dumps Ebersole on the mat. Big shot from the top by Story, who then lets Ebersole up. Story with the one-two. Ebersole answers with a right. Story lunges forward and ties up against the fence. Ebersole reverses and breaks. Both men trade jabs. Story pops Ebersole with a looping right. Man, Ebersole has a chin on him. Ebersole feigns, then counters with jab. Story blasts Ebersole with a left! Huge shot there. Another right cracks Ebersole. Story starting to open up. Hard leg kick staggers Ebersole. Ebersole clinches then rips a short elbow off the break. Story wades inside with a salvo. Another big leg kick hurts Ebersole. Round 1: Kim Winslow is our referee. Herman opens with an outside leg kick. Leites cracks Herman during a wild exchange. Herman connects on an upkick but Leites still dives into top position. Leites stands, then settles in half guard. Leites trying to pass but Herman having none of it. Leites finally works into side control. Herman scrambles back to his feet, but winds up with his back against the fence. Leites trips Herman to the canvas, landing in half guard. Herman rolls and Leites takes his back, sinking in both hooks. Leites propped up against the fence, working for a rear-naked. Herman looks to roll but Leites blasts him with lefts, then re-sinks in both hooks. Herman explodes to his feet. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Leites.
Round 2: Leites cracks Herman with a hard right, then bullrushes him against the fence. Herman reverses. Herman stuffs a takedown attempt and connects on a hard counter. Leites trips Herman to the canvas, then advances into half guard. Herman gives up his back and Leites gladly takes it. Herman eats a right. Leites stands, gets blasted by an upkick, then dives back on top. Leites claims side control, then takes Herman's back again. Herman creates some distance then regains his half guard. Herman paws out his jab, then whiffs on a looping punch. Another clinch, this time Leites trapped against the fence. Leites works on a trip, but Herman holds onto the cage to stop it. Winslow pries Herman's fingers off as Leites finishes the takedown. Leites working from half guard. More boos from the crowd. Leites climbs over and takes Herman's back. Leites hunting for an arm triangle. Herman rolls to reclaim his half guard. Winslow calls for action again. And there's the boos. Leites mounts Herman as the horn signals the end. Dunham sweeps into top position but Cerrone locks up a triangle. Cerrone switches into a omoplata. Dunham rolls and Cerrone grabs a front headlock. Both men stand. Dunham pins Cerrone against the fence. Cerrone pummels in an underhook with his right arm. Monstrous knee blasts Dunham! Dunham backs out but eats another huge knee. Dunham's face is busted up. Cerrone with a leg kick. Another leg kick followed by a flurry. Counter knee lands for Cerrone. Dunham stalks forward with a one-two capped off by a low kick. Great round. Round 2: Wild exchange as Dunham rushes across the cage. Cerrone connects on a knee off the break. Another hard knee from Cerrone, followed by a step-in elbow. Cerrone goes low with kicks. Dunham whiffs on a one-two then shucks off a takedown attempt. Cerrone chopping down Dunham with low kicks. Dunham runs into a hard straight left. Dunham closes the distance and works for a trip, but Cerrone reverses and takes Dunham down, landing in side control. Dunham sneaks out the back and jumps into top position. Cerrone locks up a triangle. Oh man, he has it. Dunham defends valiantly but finally has to tap. Tremendous performance by Cerrone.
