Let me couch this immediately by saying I do not watch much Bellator. Nevertheless, here are my ideas.
1) If they simply halved their number of shows there would be much more talent and more build-up. Bellator 103 tonight has only 2 names I recognize: Rickels and Freire. Bellator 102 had Kongo and Johnson. That means if they combined those two shows there are at least 4 fights I could potentially care about on a single free TV card. Now it's starting to feel like a consequential event. My understanding is that their undercards include a lot of local filler anyway.
2) I also think they should bring in more Major-League castaways. I mean honestly, would you give a crap about Emmanuel Newton if it weren't for King Mo? Who would give a second thought to Queiroz if it weren't for Lavar Johnson? I've heard people say that having someone like John Fitch win the Bellator title would make the organization look bad. Are you guys nuts? Like its some massive secret that Bellator is a big step down from the UFC. At least with someone like that, I'm emotionally invested in the Okami's of the world bringing some dignity to the twilight of their career.
So I'll ask again - what would make you watch more Bellator?
