The folks at SB Nation and MMA Fighting are working with Ooyala to continuously improve the video player on our sites.

We've heard that a number of users have had issues with the player, and we are actively addressing these issues. In the meantime, if anyone is having problems with the player not loading (black screen or spinning icon), or just general poor performance, we recommend you follow the steps below:

1) Right click on the Ooyala player and go to 'settings'
2) Go to the 'screen' icon at your left.
3) Uncheck the 'Enable hardware acceleration' checkbox.
4) Re-start your browser

If this does not work, please check your flash version and make sure you are using the latest one:

We also suggest to avoid having multiple tabs with video in your browser open at the same time.

UPDATE 4/22 from SB Nation's Product Team: For some users, not having local storage can also cause video to not play. To enable it, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Macintosh) the video image while it is running. From the context menu, select Settings, and then click the Local Storage tab. You'll want to make sure this is slid over to the right:
