After Justin Edwards dropped out with an injury, Gunnar Nelson will square off against Jorge Santiago in a welterweight fight at UFC on FUEL TV 7, UFC officials announced Wednesday.
Nelson submitted DaMarques Johnson via rear-naked choke in his UFC debut on Sept. 29, 2012. Santiago will make his latest return to the UFC after an 0-2 stint, losing to Brian Stann at UFC 130 and Demian Maia at UFC 136. He has won his past two fights for Titan FC.
UFC on FUEL TV 7 is headlined by a interim bantamweight title fight between Renan Barao and Michael McDonald. The event will be held Feb. 16 at Wembley Arena in London.
