UFC on FX 7 in Tweets: Pros react to Vitor Belfort vs. Michael Bisping

Esther Lin, MMA Fighting

Once more, Michael Bisping will be forced to wait for his increasingly elusive shot at UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

With No. 1 contender status at stake, Bisping fell victim to a second-round head kick from Vitor Belfort in the main event of UFC on FX 7 on Saturday night. The savage technical knockout capped off a week filled trash talk from both competitors, igniting the Brazilian crowd in attendance at Sau Paulo's Ibirapuera Arena.

After the fireworks, Belfort seized the mic to call out both UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and perennial nemesis to Brazil, Chael Sonnen. Not surprisingly, the fight community was set abuzz by the whole scene, including a few notable middleweight contenders, one of whom may ultimately become the biggest winner of the night.
