Esther Lin, MMA Fighting
FX announced Thursday the names of the fighters looking to become cast members of sixteenth season of 'The Ultimate Fighter'.
As has been customary in recent seasons, 32 fighters have been selected to fight their way into the house. The 16 who win will comprise the upcoming cast. The upcoming season features nothing but welterweights (170 pounds).
The show begins Friday, Sept. 14th, on FX with a two-hour premiere airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT of elimination fights to determine who gets into the TUF house. The show will ultimately air for 13 consecutive weeks on Friday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT with a finale to be held in Las Vegas, Nev. on Dec. 15th.
Former interim UFC heavyweight champion Shane Carwin and season ten winner of 'The Ultimate Fighter' Roy Nelson will serve as coaches.
