Strikeforce Undercard Live Blog: Tate vs. Kedzie, Amagov vs. Berry, More

Miesha Tate will try to get closer to another title shot with a win on the Strikeforce undercard Saturday night (James Law, MMA Fighting).

This is the Strikeforce undercard live blog for the Rousey vs. Kaufman event at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego.

There will be four fights on the undercard. Miesha Tate vs. Julie Kedzie, Bobby Green vs. Matt Ricehouse, Adlan Amagov vs. Keith Berry, Hiroko and Yamanaka vs. Germaine de Randamie will be featured on the prelims.

Bobby Green vs. Matt Ricehouse

Round 1: Jason Herzog is the referee. Both fighters open orthodox. Both fighters open exchanging hard outside leg kicks. Green's hands are down, but fires a right hand and knee. Ricehouse counters with a left to the body. Hard knee from the clinch lands courtesy Green. Green doing all stalking and starting to land more. Nice right by Ricehouse finds the mark on the outside. And now an inside leg kick from Ricehouse. Just like that a right drops Ricehouse. He tries to stand and does, but Green is unloading on him with knees and uppercuts. An inadvertent groin shot from Green temporarily stops the action. After they resume, Green scores a takedown as a body lock trip. Ricehouse rolls base down and stands, but eats a knee on the way up.

Round 2: Ricehouse opens with legkicks, but they're not overly powerful. Green misses on two knees, but stuffs a Ricehouse takedown with authority. On the way out Ricehouse eats a knee to the body. Green catches a kick and briefly looks for a single leg, but opts for two knees to the body instead. Ricehouse with a nice outside leg kick and a right hand. Uppercut from Green lands and Ricehouse is on his bicycle. Stiff jab from Green. Left hand from Ricehouse finds the mark, but eats another knee from Green. From the over-under clinch behind Ricehouse, Green scores a takedown and briefly back mount before Ricehouse stands and presses Green into the cage.

Round 3: Right uppercut lands from Green. He eats a left hand, but lands a left hook of his own. Two hard uppercuts from Green find the mark. Green attempts a single and gets it, but only temporarily as Ricehouse stands. Green drives a hard right hand to the body of Ricehouse. Jumping switch kick lands from Green, but Ricehouse fires back with a one-two down the pipe. Inside leg kick now for Ricehouse. Another uppercut from Green lands. Ricehouse attempts a body lock takedown and Green stuffs it. Beautiful left and right hooks from Ricehouse land, his best punches of the fight. Green changes levels and is stuffed, but lands a hard knee to the body.

Bobby Green def. Matt Ricehouse via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Hiroko Yamanaka vs. Germaine de Randamie

Round 1: Mike Beltran is the referee. Both fighters open orthodox. De Randamie swings a monster right hand, but whiffs. Again she tries the overhand right, but misses. Two more overhands miss, but they're getting closer. A shorter right cross lands flush from de Randamie. De Randamie measures Yamanaka with a jab then lands a hard right hand. Yamanaka clinches with de Randamie against the fence and the two jockeying for position. The referee separates them for inaction.

Round 2: Inside leg kick from de Randamie, but Yamanaka lands an outside kick of her own. Yamanaka forces a clinch from a missed punch from de Randamie, but isn't able to do much with it. Yamanaka tries to turn de Randamie off the fence, but runs her straight back and can't get the takedown. Referee Beltran separates them. Yamana eats two of a three punch combination, but none of it was perfectly clean. De Ramdamie lands a nice one-two to close the round.

Round 3: Hard right hand from de Randamie to open the frame. Slapping outside leg kick from Yamanaka. De Randamie misses two major hooks and the two fighters clinch along the fence. Groin shot on de Randamie temporarily halt the action. Once they resume, it's a wild brawl until they clinch again. De Randamie attempts a harai goshi, but can't get it. Yamanaka is pressing de Randamie into the fence before they separate. The two are exchanging strikes with de Randamie getting the better of them. Head kick from de Randamie grazes Yamanaka's chin. Front kick to the face by de Randamie to close the round.

Germaine de Randamie def. Hiroko Yamanaka by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Adlan Amagov vs. Keith Berry

Round 1: Herb Dean is the referee. Both fighters open orthodox. Spinning back kick to the middle of Berry lands. Push kick to the knee sends Berry to the mat. Amagov follows up and despite being totally coherent, Dean stops the fight as Berry talks to him.

Miesha Tate vs. Julie Kedzie

Round 1: Jason Herzog is the referee. Both fighters ope up slugging and Kedzie lands a hard head kick. Kedzie fires a head kick and right cross into a clinch. Tate pins Kedzie into fence after eating another right hand. Tate shoots from way outside for the takedown and is stuffed. The two stand. Tate is getting lit up here and is stuffed on another takedown. Kedzie chops Tate with a right hand. Tate tries to turn the corner on a double, but Kedzie is able to stave off the attempt. Kedzie lands a front kick and pushes Tate to the ground. Kedzie follows up into Tate's guard and is nearly triangled. She's reversed and is saved by the bell before Tate can finish the submission.

Round 2: Right hand from Tate finds the mark. The two clinch and Kedzie nearly scores with a head kick. Kezie secures the plum and lands two hard shots to the body. Tate gets the two to the ground, but Kedzie scrambles harder and nearly lands a triangle. Now Kedzie with an omaplata, but Tate escapes and takes Kedzie's back with a body lock. Tate dives a right hand under the chin of Kedzie, but Kedzie is surviving by going back down. Kedzie scrambles to half guard and from a failed guilltone, Kedzie stands. Against the fence, Tate drops levels and eventually gets a single leg.

Round 3: Tate opens the round with a right cross. Hard outside leg kick sends Tate crashing to the mat. That clearly hurt Tate. Another hard leg kick from Kedzie. Hard head kick sends Tate to the mat again and Kedzie is all over her. Tate postures up for an armbar the attempt is clean. After an intense back and forth, Tate wins it. Incredible scrap.
