UFC 143 Carlos Condit vs Nick Diaz - Why people had a not so positive reaction to Condit strategy?
Hi Ariel,
UFC 143 Condit vs Diaz: Great event, great fight , great athletes then why people had a not so positive reaction to Condit strategy?
I had strange feelings myself to the main event of UFC 143 Condit vs Diaz, and kept asking myself why?
Here’s what I think : Carlos is an awesome fighter, very technical. aggressive and always moving forward, there was not once that he didn’t deliver a great fight.
But this time he fell short to many MMA fans expectations and I believe I know why, Carlos said: This is gonna be a dog fight! And after wall it wasn’t , it was all about Carlos playing out his strategy (or should I say maybe someone else’s strategy?).
And Carlos did what he had to do, simply put not fighting Diaz fight, and that was frustrating to many MMA fans, although Carlos has showed that he can fight amazingly well walking backwards, man this guy did what most of top fighters can’t do which is delivering accurate punches and kicks having probably one of the greatest fighters of all time pushing you against the cage thumbs up to this guy people!
Maybe we should consider this: when your actions do not follow your words people get frustrated thats what I think.
I still find Carlos an amazing fighter and if that fight had been a “dog fight” , he would do well, even if he had lost to Diaz, he would walk out that octagon as a winner as well.
Take care Ariel and keep on with the good work!
