It's back to the drawing board for Brad Pickett. The British fighter, nicknamed "One Punch" for his power, was on the receiving end of far too many, taking a beating at the hands of Eddie Wineland en route to a split-decision defeat.
The judges scored it 30-27, 30-27, 28-29.
Pickett had hoped that a win could vault him into the UFC bantamweight title picture.
Instead, it was Wineland who attempted to place his name into the slot with the UFC 155 victory.

The fight, which largely resembled a boxing match for long stretches, saw him knock Pickett down twice in the first round, and pepper him throughout.
"He's got a melon on him like a coconut," Wineland said. "I hit him with everything I had, I couldn't put him away."
Wineland's advantages were his hand speed and ability to master the distance between them, as he continually landed sharp right hands.
Wineland is now 20-8-1 while Pickett fell to 22-7.
