MONTREAL -- Francis Carmont added to his win streak in controversial fashion.
The Frenchman made it nine straight wins after being handed a split-decision over Tom Lawlor at UFC 154. Two judges scored it for him 29-28 while Lawlor earned one 29-28 score as well.
Many fans in the Bell Centre booed the decision even though Carmont lives and trains in Montreal.

The fight wasn't a barn-burner but Lawlor certainly seemed to control most of the action by turning the fight into a grind. He scored several takedowns, spent several minutes on top position and had two strong guillotine attempts.
When the two were separated, Carmont did land several strong body kicks but that was really the extent of his offense as he never really got to unholster his power.
When the decision was read, Lawlor shook his head and threw his hands up in disgust while Carmont appeared surprised but celebrated with his cornermen.
Carmont is now 4-0 in the octagon, though it wasn't the statement-making win he'd hoped for.
Lawlor fell to 8-5 with 1 no contest.
