UFC 140 Live Blog: Tito Ortiz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Updates

TORONTO -- This is the UFC 140 live blog for Tito Ortiz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, a light heavyweight bout on tonight's UFC pay-per-view from the Air Canada Centre.

Ortiz (16-9-1) lost to Rashad Evans on short notice at UFC 133 in August. Nogueira (19-5) is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his career. In March, "Little Nog" lost a decision against Phil Davis.

The live blog is below.

Round 1: There's very little feeling out here, as they both square off and begin chucking leather at one another. Nogueira wings several wide hooks, one of which may have clipped Ortiz. Ortiz steps back and shoots in for a single-leg, but Nogueira stuffs it. Little Nog opens up with more hooks, and Ortiz is hurt. He covers up and Nogueira slams him to the body. Knee to the body from Nogueira, and Ortiz is down. Nogueira jumps on top of him and tries to fit a few more punches through his defense. Ortiz isn't fighting back, but referee Yves Lavigne is content to let it go on anyway. Nogueira takes a little rest, then it's back to wailing away on a mostly unresponsive Ortiz. Finally, Lavigne has seen enough violence for one night and he moves in to stop it. As Nogueira jumps up to celebrate, Ortiz rolls to his knees holding his ribs. That man is in pain.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira def. Tito Ortiz via TKO (punches) at 3:15 of round one
