Rory MacDonald showed at UFC 133 why so many people think he's the best young welterweight in mixed martial arts, winning an absolutely brutal first-round technical knockout victory over Mike Pyle.MacDonald hit Pyle with a huge left hand on the ground that hurt Pyle so badly that all he could do was roll over and cover himself up. From there MacDonald simply went to town on Pyle, bashing him again and again and again until the referee stopped the fight.

"I'm very happy," MacDonald said afterward. "I wish it would have gone on a little longer because I could have shown more things, but I'll just fight again soon, keep putting on great shows and I'm going to keep evolving."
If MacDonald does keep evolving, that's going to be scary for the rest of the welterweight division: MacDonald is already 12-1 and capable of beating just about anyone at 170 pounds, and he's only 21 years old.
MacDonald is an extremely promising prospect, and he may just be a future UFC welterweight champion. He showed on Saturday night that he's for real.
