Reagan Penn to Make MMA Debut on ProElite's Return in August

Jul 13, 2011 - Reagan Penn, the younger brother of UFC star BJ Penn, will make his MMA debut on the Aug. 27 ProElite show at Blaisdell Arena in Hawaii, MMA Fighting has learned from sources.

No opponent has been signed to fight Penn, who will compete as a welterweight.

Penn, a highly-decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, has been in his brother's corner for many of his recent UFC fights, however he has never competed in an amateur or pro MMA bout.

Familiar names like Andrei Arlovski and Kendall Grove are expected to compete on the card. This would mark ProElite's first show since Oct. 2008.
