TORONTO -- This is the UFC 129 live blog for Sean Pierson vs. Jake Ellenberger, a welterweight bout on tonight's Spike TV portion of the card at the Rogers Centre.

Pierson (11-4) won his UFC debut last December with a unanimous decision over Matt Riddle. Ellenberger (24-5) has won his last three UFC fights against Mike Pyle, John Howard and Carlos Eduardo Rocha.

Round 1: Slow start for Pierson, a southpaw, and Ellenberger, an orthodox fighter. After a minute of circling, Ellenberger drives for a takedown, but Pierson is back to his feet in seconds. Ellenberger landed a right cross but Pierson clinched for a second to clear the cobwebs. Ellenberger with a left hook floored Pierson and he was out. Ellenberger actually landed a right as Pierson was going down, then jumped on him to finish, but the extra punches were really unnecessary as Pierson was already out. Herb Dean stopped it as quickly as he could. Another speedy, decisive finish as the fighters continue to impress.
