In the UFC debut the former World Extreme Cagefighting lightweight champion, Ben Henderson won a unanimous decision over Mark Bocek at UFC 129.
All three judges scored the fight 30-27 for Henderson, who improved his MMA record to 13-2.
"Where ever the fight took place, if he's on top of me, if I'm on top of him, if we trade knees and elbows, I'm ready for anything," Henderson said after the fight.
It was an impressive showing through three rounds for Henderson, who managed to avoid danger on the ground with Bocek, a submission specialist. Henderson also managed to hurt Bocek with punches on the ground, and in the stand-up there was no comparison: Henderson was the vastly superior fighter.
For Bocek, whose record drops to 9-4, the loss was disappointing, as he showed that he doesn't have many weapons in his arsenal when he's not able to pull off a submission. Henderson stayed safe from being threatened by Bocek's Brazilian jiu jitsu, and that made this a one-sided fight.
