LAS VEGAS -- This is the UFC 126 live blog for Donald Cerrone vs. Paul Kelly, a lightweight bout on tonight's UFC on Spike TV preliminary card from the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Cerrone (13-3) is coming off two WEC wins against Jamie Varner and Chris Horodecki to earn his spot in the UFC. Kelly (11-3) defeated T.J. O'Brien via TKO last November at UFC 123.

Round 1: Cerrone ducks under Kelly's first punch and takes him down. Kelly tries a guillotine but Cerrone's into side control and out of trouble. Cerrone quickly into full mount, but Kelly uses his strength to power free. Kelly hits a knee from the clinch before Cerrone fires back with a right. Kelly lands both ends of a left jab/right hook combo. Cerrone backs him up with a high kick. A straight right jars Cerrone with two minutes left. Cerrone ducks into a takedown with 1 minute left. He's in half-guard. Cerrone lands a series of left elbows from the top as time ticks down. One of them cut Kelly open. He's still elbowing him as the round ends, and that probably captured him the round, 10-9.

Round 2: The two settle into a kickboxing match in the early portion of the round. Kelly is pressing forward and seems to like his left hook, Cerrone goes low with kicks. Finally, about two minutes in, Cerrone drives in for a takedown. Cerrone ends up in mount with two minutes left. Kelly escaped in the first but he's not as fresh here. Cerrone takes his back and punches him from the back. He puts in a body triangle. The vise is tightening. Rear naked choke and Kelly taps out.
