2004 Olympic judo silver medalist Hiroshi Izumi's next test will be against the experienced Brit James Zikic at Sengoku 15 on Oct. 30 in Japan, the promotion announced Tuesday.

Izumi vs. Zikic joins Maximo Blano vs. Leo Santos as the non-tournament bouts on a tournament-happy card featuring the semifinals of the Welterweight GP as well as the quarterfinals of the Bantamweight Asia Tournament.

Izumi is an accomplished judoaka who signed with Sengoku last year, making his MMA debut the same year. Although he fell short in his debut at Sengoku 10 to Antz Nansen by TKO, in his next bouts Izumi picked up wins over Katsuyori Shibata and Chang Seob Lee at Dynamite!! 2009 and Sengoku 13, respectively, to improve to a 2-1 record.

An oldschooler who's been in the game since 1998, Zikic is a light heavyweight fighting primarily out of his homeland in England. Zikic has been fighting sporadically as of late and will be making his debut in Japan at Sengoku 15. A veteran of the Cage Rage promotion and a one-time UFC fighter, Zikic has fought the likes of Vitor Belfort, Jeremy Horn, Cyrille Diabate, Fabricio Werdum and holds a win over Evangelista Cyborg. Before he meets Izumi, Zikic has a fight booked for Sept. 25 against Welsch middleweight John Phillips at BAMMA 4 in Birmingham, England.
