Shark Fights 13 Live Blog: Paul Bradley vs. Johnny Rees Updates

This is the Shark Fights 13 live blog for Paul Bradley vs. Johnny Rees, a welterweight bout on tonight's Shark Fights pay-per-view event in Amarillo, Texas.

Bradley-Rees was promoted to the pay-per-view card due to Douglas Evans vs. Ronnie Mann title fight going the five-round distance.

The live blog is below.

Round 1: Rees opens with an inside leg kick that lands. Bradley times Rees' next leg kick and uses it to take him down. Bradley actively tries to pass and is able to step his left leg over to move into Rees' halfguard. Bradley scores with punches, but he's put back into full guard. Bradley goes back to work and gains position inside of Rees' halfguard once again. Bradley drops left hands and eventually claims control of side. Bradley moves into the north-south choke. Rees plays it off like it doesn't bother him and it apparently didn't, as Bradley eventually gives up the choke after a lengthy hold. Bradley maintains his aggressiveness and passes from halfguard to side. Rees scrambles out, but Bradley gets a swift rear-naked choke and this time Rees is forced to tap. A nice showcase for the TUF 7 cast member.

Bradley wins by submission - Round 1, 4:28
