BOSTON -- This is the UFC 118 live blog for Gabe Ruediger vs. Joe Lauzon, a lightweight bout on the Spike TV portion of tonight's UFC card from the TD Garden.

Ruediger worked his way back to the UFC with six wins in the independent circuit. He faces the hometown favorite who is coming off a decision loss to Sam Stout earlier this year. Both were cast members on the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter.

Round 1: Lauzon slams Ruediger down to a big pop. Ruediger is no slouch on the ground. Lauzon immediately back mounts him though. Ruediger works free. Lauzon still on top and feeds him hard elbows. Lauzon back mounts him again. He hammers him with lefts and transitions to an arm bar. This was a clinic and Lauzon was the teacher. The crowd explodes at the one-sided win as Ruediger taps out.

Winner: Joe Lauzon via arm bar submission (3:01)
