Micklewright won his WEC debut last December against Mushin Corbbrey via unanimous decision. Palaszewski is on a roll with three straight wins, two of which were in the WEC against Anthony Pettis and Karen Darabedyan.

Round 1: Micklewright tagged Palaszewski early with a left as they settled into a standup fight. After a clinch against the fence, ref Steve Mazzagatti broke them up. Palaszewski fired off a series of uppercuts that landed but Micklewright responded with a hard left. Palaszewski took a low blow, but shook it off quickly. About 30 seconds later, Micklewright took a low blow, causing another brief timeout. On the restart, Palaszewski landed a stinging right hand. Micklewright took it well, though he began to slow down a bit towards the end of the round. MMA Fighting scores it for Palaszewski 10-9.
Round 2: Palaszewski scored early with a kick that knocked Micklewright against the fence. Palaszewski machine-gunned a series of strikes against the fence, and then hammered him with a right cross that knocked him down. Referee Steve Mazzagatti quickly called a halt to the action for the TKO.
