Light heavyweight Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will take on heavyweight Dave Herman as part of Abu Dhabi Fighting Championship's eight-man Open-Weight Grand Prix happening this Friday, May 24 in Abu Dhabi.

The fight replaces the previously announced Sergei Kharitonov vs. Marcio Cruz in the tournament. The other three fights are Marcos Oliveira vs. Johan Romming, Jeff Monson vs. Shamil Abdurahimov and Neil Wain vs. Przemyslaw Mysiala.
The winner of the tournament, spanning three events, will earn a prize of 1,000,000 AED, which is roughly $272,242.18.

Sokoudjou (7-6) is looking to snap a two-fight losing streak from fights against Gegard Mousasi in Strikeforce and Ikuhisa Minowa at Dynamite!! 2009. Herman (16-1) won his last three fights and was last seen in November, when he knocked out Jim York with kicks while defending a leg lock.
