Barnett vs. Dos Santos at Impact FC, Not Strikeforce

The Josh Barnett vs. Geronimo "Mondragon" Dos Santos heavyweight bout on July 10 in Brisbane, Australia that was rumored for Strikeforce is actually for a promotion called Impact FC.

Thomas Huggins, a former organizer of the popular Brazilian MMA series Bitetti Combat, is the co-owner and organizer of Impact FC.

Barnett (25-5) has won his last five fights and was last seen at Dream.13 on March, submitting Mighty Mo with a kimura in the first round.

Dos Santos (17-8) fights out of Brazil and in February had an eight-fight win streak snapped by Edson Franca on a Jungle Fight card. Dos Santos holds a notable win over Assuerio Silva by TKO.
