NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Strikeforce has already announced that veteran Matt Lindland will headline their upcoming Strikeforce Challengers show in Portland, Ore., and MMA Fighting learned Friday that the opponent being targeted by the organization to face "The Law" is "King" Kevin Casey.
Sources have informed MMA Fighting that Oregon State Athletic Commission has yet to approve the middleweight match-up, but if they do, that will be the main event.
Lindland (21-7) lost his Strikeforce debut in December to Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza. Dating back to his April 2007 loss to Fedor Emelianenko, Lindland has lost 3 of his last 4.
Casey, a client of "The Hills" star, Spencer Pratt, won his Strikeforce debut against Chad Vance in November, improving his record to 3-1.
Also announced for the card is Kerry Vera vs. Julianna Pena and Tyron Woodley vs. Nathan Coy.
