UFC 112 Live Blog: Terry Etim vs. Rafael Dos Anjos Round-by-Round Updates

This is the UFC 112 live blog for Terry Etim vs. Rafael Dos Anjos, a lightweight bout on today's UFC 112 pay-per-view card in Abu Dhabi.

Etim of Liverpool, England is a 24-year-old with a 5-2 record inside the Octagon. He's coming off three straight finishes. Dos Anjos is a jiu-jitsu fighter who has won his last two UFC fights after losing his first two.

Etim walks out to Phil Collins' In the Air Tonight. Fitting considering that BJ Penn is on the card.

Round 1: Etim lands a leg kick and misses a high kick. Dos Anjos comes forward with awkward punches. An Etim high kick is blocked. Dos Anjos shoots and is caught in an arm-in guillotine. Looks tight, but Dos Anjos is a BJJ black belt. Etim is holds the choke for almost a minute before he lets go. Etim looks for an armbar, but Dos Anjos passes to side. Dos Anjos lands knees to the side. The referee warns him for knees to the spine. They are restarted on the feet. Dos Anjos throws a left and gets hit with a left uppercut. Dos Anjos goes for a takedown but ends up pulling back with a heel hook attempt. Etim spins out into Dos Anjos' half butterfly guard. Dos Anjos closes his guard. Dos Anjos with punches off his back.

Round 2: Dos Anjos lands an inside leg kick, and another. Etim thinks about a spinning back kick. He taps an inside leg kick. Dos Anjos catches a kick and takes Etim down into side control. Dos Anjos tries to pass but is placed in halfguard. Dos Anjos cranks Etim and passes back to side. Dos Anjos passes to full mount at 1:52. Etim escapes to halfguard. Dos Anjos slides into side control. Dos Anjos in north-south, working for a kimura. Dos Anjos switches to armbar and Etim taps.
