Chuck Liddell and Rich Franklin have agreed to meet at UFC 115 in June, MMA Fighting has learned. Several Internet reports surfaced over the past 24 hours stating that the light heavyweight fight would take place at the rumored UFN 22 in April, but as MMA Junkie first reported, the plan is for the fight to take place June 12 in Vancouver, British Columbia.The organization has yet to officially announce the fight or why Tito Ortiz will not be facing Liddell after all.
Ortiz, who was a coach on the 11th season of The Ultimate Fighter opposite Liddell, has been tweeting some cryptic messages lately, which helped fuel speculation that his planned fight against Liddell was off.
On Feb. 24th, Ortiz Tweeted:
However, the next day Ortiz wrote: "Now its time to get ready to kick Chucks [sic] a**."If things couldn't get worse. They just did! [Expletive}!!!! I want to thank all my fans for your support!

According to sources close to the situation, both Franklin and Liddell have verbally agreed to the fight, but contracts have not been signed.
The 11th season of The Ultimate Fighter premieres March 31 on Spike TV.
Liddell was last seen losing to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 97, while Franklin lost via first-round TKO to Vitor Belfort in September.
UPDATE: UFC president Dana White tweeted Saturday afternoon that "nothing happened to Tito" and that Randy Couture, not Liddell, will be facing Franklin in the future.

I hate this. First, another season of TUF where the coaches are not going to fight each other afterwards - that sucks. Also, I'd like to see Franklin fight somebody who could advance him up the 205 rankings...if he wins this one, it will just be "chuck is washed up" and Franklin won't be moved up or down. Liddell shouldn't be fighting anymore anyway.
i toatally agree with you, i know your not trying to disrespect Lidell but you know i just don't want to see him get knocked out again and again and i dont like the fact tht TUF coaches wont be fighting again!
i think chuck is about as good as he's ever been. he's always had that big hole in his hand position, i'm surprised he didnt get ko'd more.

Dana White told him that to his face, he was too stupid to listen. If he could see himself as a 55 year old with two and a half marbles left in his brain, he'd stop letting people hit him in the head. I'm a fan too, that's why I want to see him stop getting ko'd.
I'd love to see Franklin and Lidell fight .... in November! The coaches need to be fighting that's half the reason they were chosen to coach this season together in the first place. You know that they are going to be at each other's throats in every episode building towards a confrontation that won't happen. Disappointing. Very disappointing
If your a fan of the sport and knockouts, then you should want this fight. It's much better than Tito vs. Chuck.

I really hope the UFC's got more planned than just Liddel vs Franklin for UFC 115. I live in Vancouver and will definitely be buying tix juz cuz I'm a huge MMA fan but so far this card is looking like one of those cards almost not even worthy of PPV (couture vs coleman, etc). Even the free Versus card with Jones and Vera is stacked compared to UFC 115. C'mon, UFC, MMA just got sanctioned here in Vancouver and this is your first show here, give us a better card! Sydney and Abu Dhabi get sick cards for their UFC debuts and Vancouver gets Chuck vs Franklin, both fighters coming off a loss. Give us more!

Ortiz probably cried his way out of it. Watch him try to fight Coleman again. That is unless he can find a weaker opponent. Why would him fighting a guy that KO'd him 2x even matter. Ortiz was good when fighters weren't. Now he is good for excuses, talking and trying to fight guys that are way past their prime. He didn't want the Forrest fight for that reason.
Amen to that... Tito is a cryin ass drama queen... poses being straight by runnin around with Jenna. He aint foolin nobody... he only wants to fight guys that he can look good beating.. rumor has it he`s fighting a cubscout den leader at UFC 120....
