TUF 12 Tryouts Set for April 1

While the UFC is in town in Charlotte, N.C. for UFC Fight Night 21 on March 31, the promotion and Spike TV will hold a casting call the following day for The Ultimate Fighter 12.

UFC president Dana White along with show producers will oversee the open tryouts in search of lightweights (155 pounds) and light heavyweights (205 pounds).

According to the casting call alert, applicants must be 21 or over and have at least three professional MMA fights. Applicants are also required to bring their own gear to participate. For potential contestants, there will be both grappling and pad work involved in the audition.

The Ultimate Fighter 12 is slated to premiere on Spike TV in September. Season 11, already in production, premieres March 31.

Registration opens at 8 AM ET; Tryouts at 10 AM ET
Fighters must arrive between 8 and 9 AM ET
