The UFC and Spike TV have made it official that Matt Brown vs. Ricardo Almeida and Rory Markham vs. Nate Diaz will air live at 9 PM ET as the first two televised fights on the March 27 UFC 111 card. Those fights will be followed by five more live fights on pay-per-view starting at 10 PM ET.
The UFC and Spike have agreed to show two live undercard fights for 10 pay-per-view cards this year, and UFC 111 will be the third show of the 10-card deal.
The fights that make the Spike broadcast usually involve fighters who have appeared on Spike's The Ultimate Fighter, and that's the case with UFC 111 as well. Brown was on Season 7 of The Ultimate Fighter, and Diaz was the winner of Season 5.
