Antwain Britt Targeted for Second Strikeforce-CBS Card in April

Rising light heavyweight Antwain Britt will likely be competing on the Strikeforce card in April.

MMA Fighting has learned that Britt (12-3) is expected to fight on the card and two possible opponents are Aaron Rosa (12-3) or Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante (8-2). Bout agreements have not yet been signed.

When reached for comment, Strikeforce Director of Communications Mike Afromowitz has informed MMA Fighting that Britt has not been targeted for the televised portion of the card.

Britt is coming off a dominant performance in his Strikeforce debut on Dec. 19, where he repeated dropped Scott Lightly until the fight was called off by the doctor after the first round.

Britt was also a contestant on season eight of The Ultimate Fighter. Britt won his elimination fight to earn a spot in the house, but a broken hand suffered in the fight forced his withdrawal from the competition. Despite winning his fight, he was not picked up by the UFC.

Rosa and Cavalcante are both prospects in Strikeforce's 205 division, especially Cavalcante, who defeated Rosa last November at Strikeforce Challengers 5 and trains out of the famed Black House camp with Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

No date and location has been announced for the Strikeforce-CBS card in April. The rumored fights are Fedor Emelianenko vs. Fabricio Werdum, Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal vs. Gegard Mousasi and Jake Shields vs. Dan Henderson.
