Bellator Champ Hector Lombard Wins By Decision at G-Force Fights 3

Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard won his twelfth straight fight Thursday, beating Joey Gorczynski by unanimous decision in the main event of G-Force Fights "Bad Blood 3" in Miami, Fla.

Lombard's record remains unblemished in the final of two Bellator off-season fights. However, the same can't be said for his American Top Team teammate Jorge Masvidal, who lost on the same card in a split decision to Luis Palomino.

The loss is another surprising setback for Masvidal, who came into Bellator season one as a favorite to win the lightweight tournament, only to be eliminated by Toby Imada's much-talked-about inverted triangle choke. Masvidal turned around in November and knocked out former Sengoku champion Satoru Kitaoka at Sengoku 11.

Next for Lombard is a non-title superfight in April, when Bellator returns for season two. Then in September, Lombard will defend his belt against the season two tournament winner. Masvidal will enter the lightweight tournament in April again and is expected to rematch Imada.

G-Force Fights is a promotion founded by former NBA All-Star Glen Rice.
