Jay Hieron Looking to Cement His Status as Strikeforce's Top Welterweight Contender

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Jay Hieron is clearly tired of talking about all his recent trials and tribulations. And while the welterweight can take solace in the fact that his Strikeforce: Miami fight against Joe Riggs will be streamed live on EASportsMMA.com Saturday night, Hieron is simply looking to prove to the Strikeforce brass that he is ready to fight for their 170-pound title.

MMA Fighting spoke the Xtreme Couture fighter on Wednesday about his mindset heading into the fight, what he needs to do to defeat Riggs and the support he has received from the online MMA fans. Check out the video interview below.
