Denis Kang Signs With Canada's W-1 MMA

Recently released UFC middleweight fighter Denis Kang (32-12-1, 2 NC) has signed a two-fight deal with Canadian organization Warrior-1 MMA. Jack Bateman, the president of W-1 MMA, confirmed the news with TopMMANews.com.

According to the report, Kang will headline headline "W-1: Bad Blood" on March 20th at the Centre Pierre Charbonneau in Montreal, QC, Canada.

The 32-year-old was released from the UFC following his loss to Michael Bisping in November. The former PRIDE fighter went 1-2 inside Octagon. Since going undefeated in 23 straight fights, Kang has lost 5 of his last 9 fights.

No word on who Kang will face in his W-1 MMA debut.

W-1 MMA held its first show in March 2009, and it has promoted fights with veterans Shone Carter and Carlos Newton in the past. All three of its events have taken place in Quebec.
