Oxley vs. Gomez, Homasi vs. Kelly, Alfonso vs. Da Matta Added to Strikeforce: Miami



The first three undercard bouts have been set for Strikeforce: Miami on Jan. 31 in Sunrise, Fla., MMAFighting.com learned Wednesday.

As previously reported, Strikeforce's debut in Miami will be headlined by title bouts between welterweights Nick Diaz vs. Marius Zaromskis and 145-pound ladies Cris Cyborg vs. Marloes Coenen.

Craig Oxley (0-2), perhaps most known to longtime MMA fans as the recipient of a helicopter ankle lock by Genki Sudo at a Pancrase event in 2000, takes on David Gomez (3-2), who won all three of his fights last year.

21-year-old Sabah Homasi (2-0), who trains out of Dearborn, Mich., will face local fighter John Kelly (3-0).

Pablo Alfonso (4-1), out of the Freestyle Fighting Academy in Miami, last fought for the HDNet-televised XFC 9 in September. He'll fight undefeated Marcos Da Matta (7-0), a head instructor for the American Top Team and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt.
