TUF 10 Finale Live Blog: Kimbo Slice vs. Houston Alexander Updates

This is The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale live blog for Kimbo Slice vs. Houston Alexander, a 215-pound bout on the Spike TV card.

In a fight where all signs point to a first-round knockout, the two heavy hitters, Slice and Alexander, meet in a must-win bout to remain relevant in the UFC. Alexander is coming off a win on a regional card, but has lost his last three UFC fights. Meanwhile, Slice has not won a fight since May 2008.

The live blog begins below.



Round 1: Houston Alexander circles right for a good minute. Alexander throws a light leg kick. Alexander continues circling. Alexander lands a leg kick and Slice counters with a right hand. Alexander taps a leg kick and continues circling right. Slice throws a left and right Alexander clinches and tries a knee. Slice throws a combo and they separate. Slice throws punches and Alexander uses his head movement to avoid the shots. Alexander lands two inside leg kicks. Slice is looking for moments to punch. Alexander sticks to throwing leg kicks.

FanHouse scores the uneventful, almost even, first round 10-9 for Houston.

Round 2: Alexander keeps circling. Slice throws a wild right hand and Alexander ducks. Alexander keeps circling. Slice rocks Alexander's head back with a jab. Slice gets impatient and takes Alexander down into mount. Alexander escapes to his feet. Slice throws a punch combo and Slice holds on. Slice with a huge slam on Alexander. Alexander turns in for a takedown. Alexander falls back and Slice lands in full mount. Alexander gives up his back. Slice attempts a rear-naked choke. Alexander throws punches. Slice has full mount and digs elbows. Alexander escapes through the back. Slice tries a takedown and the bell ends.

Round 3: Alexander lands a leg kick. Alexander moves forward with punches. They exchange. Alexander ducks a punch and they briefly clinch. Slice lands a jab. Slice lands a nice uppercut in an exchange. Alexander jabs, but he's tired. Alexander lands a jab and Slice nods. Slice misses two big punches. Alexander lands a leg kick and Slice falls. Slice gets up slowly, but he's able to grab a leg and take down Alexander into halfguard. The referee stands them up with 1:07 left. Alexander lands a leg kick. Alexander keeps working on Slice's leg, while Slice looks time a counter right punch. Alexander lands a left elbow and a clean right, but they're too tired to continue. Bell sounds. Both fighters are exhausted.

Slice wins via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
