M-1 Global and Strikeforce is boasting that over 25 million viewers from around the world watched Fedor Emelianenko knock out Brett Rogers on Nov. 7 in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Mostly seen through CBS (5.46 million viewers) and Russia's Channel 1 (16 million viewers), the main event was also televised in some capacity in China, Latin America, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Ukraine, Finland, Africa, Turkey, Israel, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Romania and Malta, according to the promotion.
M-1 Global said it believes with the help of their numerous television agreements, Fedor vs. Rogers "delivered worldwide more than any other MMA show in the history of the sport."
"We are extremely happy with the preliminary broadcast reports," M-1 Global CEO Joost Raimond said in a prepared statement. "The demographics of these numbers were very promising as our network broadcasting partners in the U.S., Russia, and Korea reach an enormous audience alone."

i wonder what dana's gonna say about that.
watching fedor bait rogers into that sweep to set up a submission just shows you how in control this guy is. he's so much better than the rest of the world.
fedor is the last emperior.
i seldom watch fights twice, but for fedor, yea. fedors nose was broke in the first, but it was the laces that cut him.
rogers was lucky to make it to the second, and really didnt look like he wanted it.
fedor just strightened out the right a little - fight over.
i think rogers would give any of the ufc top 5 all the fight they wanted and may well win more than loses.
hey richard you're a boxing fan right?? just curious but did you see the fight nick diaz vs scott smith. if not, it was easily the best display of how crisp boxing can be very effective in a mma bout. i've watched the fight already at least 10 times and am on the edge of my seat everytime...
some of the best fights i've seen all year were in strikeforce. scott smith vs benji radach. frank shamrock vs cung le. diaz vs smith. and even diaz vs shamrock. i know lots of people wanna say how bad shamrock is, but he was good enough to submit tito while being outweighed by 20 pounds. it reaqlly just shows how good nick diaz is. pothead or not, i've been a diaz fan since his first ufc fight when he was like 21 yrs old. that dude has always been my favorite fighter. and fedor and anderson silva. i still think ufc is way hyped up. its not everything its cracked up to be anymore. strikeforce with m-1 and dream and everyone working together is better for mma and true fans than ufc. and dana gets his credit, but not this much.
hey pips, somewhere in these forms i said the same thing. diaz is one of the best boxers in mma. most of these guys we are watching have a couple years of muay thai lessons and the difference really shows.
a boxing background offers much better footwork, angles, hips, defense, head movement, etc than traditional muay thai. muay thai is too straight at you squared up to be effective against a really good boxer. the downfall is muay thai is more about power shots than boxing, which is truely about points. the trick is to get your boxing set down a little to put some power in it.
the dig on diaz use to be he didnt have power. those comments usually came from someone that really shouldn't have a microphone much less an audience to talk to.
i am a diaz fan, i really like his boxing skills, and to me the guys a great fighter.
i'd like to see him and penn fight.
yeah. only diaz has no regards whatsoever to head movement. he's a unique animal. that's what i really like about him. he's a real fighter.
It's nice to see a MB with some brains.
Keep rolling out fights like these, and the UFC has some true competition. Good for the fans and fighters both!
