Thiago Silva recently spent a week training with the fighters at the Wand Fight Team Gym in Las Vegas, and that's where FanHouse caught up with the light heavyweight contender to talk about his upcoming UFC 108 main event fight against Rashad Evans.Silva talked about turning his career around following his January loss to Lyoto Machida and why a convincing victory over Evans would warrant a title shot later next year. I certainly hope thiago can KO evans...i cannot stand evans one bit. He acts like he's willing to take a bullet for his team, and that he's the greatest coach. 'Tis a shame that Rampage didn't fight him before he became an "actor". haha.
it figures you wouldnt like a class act, especially a class act that wrestles and doesnt quit. why am i not surprised ur rooting for the quiter.
poor little quiter guy. maybe pitch and catch is more your thing, or even baseball.
How is Rashad Evans a class act? I actually like Rashad but he is cocky as hell and does nothing but talks mad sh!t in and out of the cage. Unlike GSP Rashad has actually turned himself into an exciting fighter from a boring fighter. Evans used to be sooooo boring but once he got that killer instinct (the Liddel fight was the tuning point) and started finishing opponents his popularity rose with it.
How exactly is Rampage a quitter anyway? How can anyone blame him for wanting to make money outside the UFC and not put up with Dana's crap? He's never quit in a fight. Personally, I'd love to see Rampage fight Shogun in a Pride rematch for the LHW title after Shogun beats Machida officially in the second fight.
I can't really hate on either Evans or 'Page since they are both two of my favorite fighters. But, saying Evans is a class act is actually pretty hilarious.
you mean like you "wont tournments"? maybe the t key is closer to the n key on your computer since your so smart, azwipe. And hey, i never said you wern't the expert on quitting - you quit just about the time you should have gotten some sack.
8 yr's being 1/2 your life explains why you're such an idiot.
you're the one ragging on a completely dominate fighter being boring - not up to your standards of entertainment. maybe you're better suited for wwe, or a spelling bee.
ffs mate...ur a complete idiot !! i wrestled for half of my life, and just because YOU think hes a class act doesnt mean i do...how did i suddenly become the "quiter" guy. dude, hit up a dictionary cuz u cant spell for sh*t. its quitter you idiot...if you are gunna run your mouth, at least make sure you make sense first.
get the facts straight...here, let me list em for you
1. i wrestled from age 8-16, and again when i started training...winning numerous tournaments and traveling all over the US.
2. gsp is dominant, but predictable and IMO...boring
3. dictionary.com is VERY useful for uneducated morons like yourself, and so is reading every once in a while.
4. i like fighters that put on a show, whether its ground and pound, back and forth grappling, or stand-up...i dont like someone that takes someone down and doesnt do much work, or runs around the cage half the fight.
5. i train mma, and have wrestled and played sports all my life so i respect every aspect of the fight game...but it doesnt mean it ENTERTAINS me...
6. you are a douchetard, and honestly....honestly, THE BIGGEST D_BAG IVE EVER COME ACROSS.
johnny...i completely agree with you. besides the fact that you like rashad lol but he is a good fighter and entertaining to watch. even him running his mouth is entertaining, especially when its during a fight and a KO follows up the trash talk. haha
id LOVE to see rampage and rua fight again, rampage would probably be glad soccer kicks arent allowed in the UFC. haha...i do hope he eventually comes back, win or lose...hes just funny and an exciting fighter. i hope it doesnt end up like the hughes/serra fight, where it takes almost 2 yrs to settle the score.
Rashad is, too, my favorite fighter, followed by Jon Fitch. I never thought he was boring, mainly because I could see his game developing after every consecutive fight he had. The Liddell KO was just brutal, much more stunning than his head kick KO over Salmons. He has matured a lot as a fighter, and he is very cerebral in the cage too. He also is part of one of the best camps there is.
I am vice-versa. I hope to see Thiago get dropped. And I believe he will. Probably in the second, 'cause about that time Rashad will have figured out his timing and range and explode on him. I think Rashad will be too quick, too strong and too smart for Thiago. I don't even think it'll be close. And that's not just my favoritism talking.
But, we'll see!
Richard:
if i put "wont tournaments" i accidentally put a T after Won cuz i was typing tournaments next moron...i dont just spell words all retarded like you do because i dont know how to spell and have the mental capacity of a prepubescent child.
and nutsack...i have been wrestling half my life because i started wrestling again AFTER high school...dear lord u really are dumb...i wrestled 8 yrs straight, then i picked it up again when i joined a local gym like 3.5yrs ago. and i just turned 23, so you calculate the number...i bet ur reaching for a calculator, or bringin it up on the comp huh ?? u inane pos.
and btw i didnt like wrestling as much as i did baseball at the time...my wrestling coach was a douchetard, much like yourself and he wasnt teaching me sh*t...so i knew i could make it to play college ball and playing college sports was one of my dreams...that i accomplished. you, on the otherhand probably never even had a chance to attend college...fast-food service was your future after graduation huh ??
Thiago all the way!
